sing it to me songbird: "this old love" by lior

This song says it all! Whether walking down the aisle, dancing your first dance together, or saying goodbye to your friends and family, this song will touch your heart.  The hit song from his debut album, This Old Love was an instant hit on the Aussie music scene.  Born in Israel but now living in Melbourne, singer-songwriter, Lior, self-released his first album Autumn Flow, which became album of the year in 2005, and one of the most successful independent debut releases in history.

The lyrics “We’ll grow old together…this old love will never die” are timeless and classic. These words will mean as much to you on your twentieth wedding anniversary as they do on your first day as husband and wife! Definitely unique, you can be sure that this song will bring a tear to many an eye as they catch a first glimpse of the blushing bride. We feel this song should be on EVERY bridal playlist!!!

Until next time,

(We) wish you bluebirds in the spring to give your heart a song to sing...(we) wish you love

sing it to me songbird: "unbelievable" by josh gracin

It's Thursday so today we have a song for your big day playlist. This is Josh Gracin with "Unbelievable" from the album "We Weren't Crazy" (2008). The only thing that makes this song better is that it has been set to scenes from "The Notebook" and let's face it, what can't a bit of Ryan Gosling make better! Oh, can't we just hear the words, "I want all of you, forever, you and me, every day" (best movie!). Plus, it truly has the best message to take into our own love lives...in the beginning of the movie Duke says "I am no one special, just a common man with common thoughts. I've led a common life...But in one respect, I've succeeded as gloriously as anyone who ever lived. I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and for me, that has always been enough." When planning gets a bit beyond you, return to these words and realise why you are planning your wedding in the first place. This truly is the only thing we need to have done with our lives in order to be called a success - everything else is secondary. Anyhow, enough "I heart The Notebook" moments, here is Josh Gracin with "Unbelievable". We hope you like it!

Until next time,
